A cold front moving through North Texas over the next few days will bring cold air, strong winds and wintry precipitation. The precipitation could impact electric service by accumulating on power lines or tree branches, causing them to sag or break. 

Garland Power & Light is prepared to handle electric service interruptions that could be caused by the incoming winter storm. Local, contract and mutual aid lineman crews will be on standby to restore power. Tree trimming crews will clear vegetation as needed.
