A company is calling Garland residents claiming that Garland Power & Light or Garland Utilities has contracted with them to do a home energy use evaluation or survey. They ask to set up an appointment for a home inspection. 

The caller also claims that GP&L or the City of Garland will pay the cost of repairing problems found with equipment that uses electricity, such as an air conditioning unit.

These claims are false.
